Medical Practices Library / An Open Door
The Medical Practices Library, also known as the An Open Door application, is designed for students at our University’s Faculty of Medicine to gain experience in medical practices where they do not feel competent enough. Educator physicians offer the opportunity for a determined number of students to practice one-on-one with an instructor at specified days and times. Our university has designed a website to easily schedule appointments and track the appointment process efficiently. Students can access the site using their university emails and passwords at the link: biracikkapi.biruni.edu.tr.
The appointments, which are opened for more than 10 hours a week, are met with great interest each time and receive positive feedback from our students. Students deemed competent by the educator at the end of the training can accompany the educator as a peer trainer in subsequent trainings.
