Biruni University leads in medical education. Our university is opposite the city walls of Topkapı and is surrounded by green spaces in a modern architectural structure compatible with its historic environs. The campus offers a healthy student life in the heart of one of the world’s most historic and cultural cities. The university includes all 40 health branches defined in our country and serves as the most comprehensive medical university in Turkey. Our Faculty of Medicine is one of the main faculties in the school and is the focal point of all facilities in our university.
The faculty’s main aim is to educate the physicians of the future, train 21st century physicians who can make a difference in every respect, create innovations, implement classical teaching and create new discoveries in order to serve humanity.
In close cooperation with Baylor College, the leading medical university in the USA, we aim to help students take advantage of reciprocal opportunities. The Biruni method in education for cognitive development and performance increase of the students is actively applied in our faculty, helping students learn their subjects on time with its interactive and active participation structure. Our hospital is equipped with the latest technology and is offers service with qualified medical staff. Our students have all the necessary experiments, simulation, practice and research opportunities related to their field of education.
Our faculty, integrating 950 hours of English courses in the first-grade program, has broken new ground in Turkey. This program, while not increasing the annual course load, enables students to learn English within freshman year. According to the end-of-year assessment, students who are successful are awarded achievement scholarships.
